Steadily Ignoring
the reflux I'm getting from the ice cream I just ate. >_<
The situation at work is so not cool. Just my luck that the "spy" was working the exact same hours as me today. She was obviously following me everywhere, keeping an eye on everything I was up to. I don't know if it's always been this way or if I'm just noticing this more now. I was always suspicious of this person, having heard before that our DM specifically wanted her at our store-- no other store that I've ever known of has *three* assistant managers-- but I didn't think it was so they could keep tabs on us. Every time I went in the office for a few minutes, even if it was just to drink some water, she showed up. Every time I chatted with someone for a minute or two, she'd hover nearby. Not to mention she said that she wants us to do some of our tasks differently. . .although we've been doing them the same way since I started working there (she said that Lora wanted to make these changes, but I highly, highly doubt it).
I have to work with her tomorrow too and I am NOT looking forward to it. Luckily she won't be there at all on Wednesday, and even though I'm not working, I may go that day so I can fill Chris in on what's been happening.
In the meantime, I'm convinced that this is proof that there can never be a long period of time in my life when everything is going well. I was lucky that I got about a week. :/
ETA: One good thing. . .we will have a pool table at the new house. It doesn't have legs, but that's okay. And it's the right kind for playing ULTIMATE POOL!
