Oh Man
I am so tired right now, I can't even begin to explain. Over the past few days, I've basically only been in the apartment to sleep. Not that I'm complaining at all, but as I said, I'm exhausted!
Thursday I worked all morning and then I hung out with Travis from the time I got out until oh, almost 1 am. Today I didn't work until 1, but I slept until around 10 and decided to head out early so I could stop at Brewed Awakenings for coffee and food beforehand (was going to have those things at home, but the bagels I had in my room already turned moldy! I think it's cuz my room has been so wet and gross lately from the rain). Work was a joke today-- Chris and I did NOTHING but sit around and talk about how great living together is going to be, but somehow everything got done, so no complaints. Lastly, tonight one of the girls I used to work with at the old store was throwing a graduation/goodbye party at her house, so the Brooks crew (including myself) were all invited. I don't usually go to Brooks parties cuz I'm really not into that whole scene anymore, but I would have felt bad about not going cuz she specifically asked me to and I probably won't see her again since she's moving to another state. I actually had a decent time because once the house got way too crowded, a bunch of us Brooks people went outside and had our own little "hang party." No one was going crazy with drinking or anything else either, which was what I had originally feared. Anyway, I stayed there until around midnight, but I was dragging and some other people were leaving anyway, so I didn't feel too bad about skipping out early.
And now here I am, having just scarfed down some soy sausages and chocolate truffles. I am so definitely going to bed after this though. My Mom is supposed to call me around 9am tomorrow to let me know if she still wants to go to the zoo. I don't even know if the alarm is going to be able to wake me up at that time, haha.
Oh, the only bad part of today was that although Chris and Nick got their raises today, *I* still didn't! >:( Strangely enough, Amanda from the other store, who was made a shift supervisor around the same time as me, also hasn't received hers. I suppose I should have written Jim a "friendly reminder" email today, but I honestly couldn't because I was so pissed off. I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from inserting the phrase "you lying son of a bitch" in it somewhere, though I guess that wouldn't help my cause any. v_v And what sucks is that besides writing an email, there is nothing else I can do. Raises are completely up to the DM. I mean, I know I'm getting one, but the WHEN is questionable. Remember, Jim said I was "definitely" going to get it LAST week. yeah, that worked out really well. Fine though, if he's going to take his sweet time giving me my raise, then I'm not going to feel bad wasting time while I'm there. Grrr.
