EYES!

Ugh, Ju-on is full of them. Nothing will ever top the scene in Ringu for pure fright factor though.

I've decided to delve into more weird Japanese films, so I bought two for fairly cheap from Newbury Comics yesterday. I watched one, Suicide Club, yesterday. Talk about a strange movie. The first half was good, but after the Asian version of David Bowie appears, it stops making ANY sense. There are so many random things that I actually think there *are* underlying themes or whatnot, but my brain goes into knots trying to figure it out. And I know I'm not the only one who's felt this way because of read lots of reviews of the movie and "wtf?!" seems to be a common response, haha.

Then tonight I watched Ju-On, which is the original version of The Grudge. Face it, the American version was nothing special. Even though the original has less of a "story" to it, it is overall a lot creepier and imo, a better movie.

Next up, I want to see Audition, which I've heard a lot about. The last 20 minutes are supposed to be intense.

Back to our regularly scheduled subject. . .

Our house search seems to have come to a bit of a halt. Nick *was* handling it, to this point, but towards the end of our shift today he came up to me and was like "so, are we still visiting places on Saturday?" I said that as far as I knew we still were, to which he then asked if Chris or I had made the appointments. Uh oh. Nick was like "yeah, we're going to have to call today or tomorrow to see if we can meet with someone on Saturday, but I don't have the phone numbers anymore."

Yeah, guess who has the paper with the phone numbers. Guess who doesn't want to do the calling. ~_~

I know that he's right, but you know how I am about using the phone. I could wait until I go to work tomorrow, since Chris will be there, but we won't get a chance to get away from Lora until at night, and that'll be too late. We'd be calling about the 4 bedroom and the normalish house in Bonnet, although the former is seeming like a riskier choice. Chris and I see no reason why Nick's girlfriend shouldn't be the 4th person, but he seems REALLY reluctant to have her around. As in, it's almost weird. I was there when Chris first brought up the idea to him, and Nick was like "oh, I hadn't though of asking her." Umm, what? How would your significant other NOT be the first person you'd think of? Fishy.

Anyway, I told Nick not to worry, that we'd figure it out. I also said I'd pick up the latest copy of the South County Independent, as there would likely be some new possibilities.

Try only ONE new possibility. :/ It's a 3 bedroom apartment and although it's more per month than the 4 bedroom house would be, unlike that place, this includes utilities, cable, and is already furnished. I think it would be worth it in the long run, but I'm not sure if the guys would agree and I'd have to go ahead and call before I could ask either one.

But I am having major anxiety over having to be the one to call. If I don't, however, we're going to be set back so much. I should never have taken the paper from Nick, I should have just written down the addresses so Chris and I could go driving by. Grrrrrr.

So, that's the news.
