Very Low-Key Boston Day

You already know that yesterday was our first trip back to Boston in a while (well, for Travis and I that is). Matt also met up with us, so it's too bad that things like the weather and my stomach were conspiring to make the day kinda eh.

It didn't help that yesterday's IWW meeting was the first one to slightly piss me off. Most of the usual people weren't there and granted, we haven't been to a meeting in months, but we *are* legit members! The meeting didn't last as long as others have, but also wasn't quite as organized. Plus, even more so than before, it seems as though this branch spends too much time planning superfluous appearances than actually trying to organize. If there *are* people out there "salting" or whatever, well at least they're doing *something.* At least they're trying.

And. . .I'll probably write more later, but there are some other things I need to do right now.

Yeah, that IWW meeting was the worst one we've ever been to. And the e mail they sent out after was about the damn anti war protest again. Hey guys, how about you ORGANIZE WORKERS INSTEAD! lol.

I don't know what my next step is exactly with the IWW thing. I say we go to that labor conference, but I'm not really certain I want to go to the RI IWW meeting. I think people who have actually organized workers, including professor Molloy will be able to teach us more in a day then the IWW will be able to do in a year.

Oh, we definitely should go to the conference-- I emailed Dr. Sterne back and told her we would be! lol

And about the IWW. . . I'll admit that I want to go just to see what this group might be like, but then I remember that the Boston group seemed promising at first, too. So, I don't know.

But not having to be at the meeting in Providence means we can have a nice, relaxed dinner at 7 Moons, hehe. ;p
